For checking Perplexity daily next to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, the best Perplexity rank tracker is Cituna: $39 a month, the lowest flat price on this list for all seven, with Search Console included. On a smaller budget, Keyword.com (from $9.80 a month in credits) and Rankscale ($20) cost least, Otterly.AI ($29) is the lowest fixed price with Perplexity checked daily and adds Copilot, and SE Visible gives the most prompts for the money (200 for $99). When we asked Perplexity itself on 28 September 2026, it named AthenaHQ and LLM Pulse for both "best Perplexity rank tracker" and "best tool to check Perplexity rankings".
Watch the plan, not the logo: Peec AI's self-serve plans list Perplexity only as a paid add-on, and Profound's free trial leaves it out. Every price below was read from the vendor's own pages on the date shown.
Which tools track Perplexity, and what do they cost?
How this list works: each of the 12 tools says on its own pages that it tracks Perplexity. We looked for three things: whether Perplexity is on the entry plan or costs extra, how often it is checked, and what else the plan covers. The entries are ordered by the lowest published monthly price at which a brand can track Perplexity, including any add-on it needs. We used the month-to-month rate where the page shows one, broke ties alphabetically, and put custom-priced plans last. Facts come from each vendor's pages on 28 or 29 September 2026, and the engine counts from our scans on 28 September 2026.
| Tool | Best for | Engines covered | Entry price | Free trial | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keyword.com | A few prompts on a tiny budget | Perplexity on entry plan; 7 engines, credit-weighted; no Grok | $9.80/mo | 14 days, no card | 28 Sep 2026 |
| Rankscale | Flexible cadence, small budget | Perplexity on entry plan; every engine, credit-metered | $20/mo | 7 days, Pro plan only | 28 Sep 2026 |
| Otterly.AI | Daily checks with Copilot | Perplexity on entry plan; 4 included, 3 add-ons, no Grok | $29/mo | 7 or 14 days, no card (pages disagree) | 28 Sep 2026 |
| Cituna | Perplexity next to Claude, Grok and Search Console | 7 (no Copilot), Perplexity included | $39/mo | 3 days, card required | 29 Sep 2026 |
| Geoptie | Choosing your own engines | Perplexity selectable; any 4 of 7, no Grok | $49/mo | Not published | 28 Sep 2026 |
| AIclicks | Perplexity plus articles | Perplexity a Starter default; 3 of 11 | $59/mo | 3 days, no card | 28 Sep 2026 |
| LLM Pulse | Five engines per prompt | Perplexity on entry plan; 5 included, 3 add-ons | €49/mo ($59), weekly | 14 days, payment method needed | 28 Sep 2026 |

| Peec AI | Large teams, three models | Perplexity is a paid add-on on self-serve plans | $95/mo; $130 with Perplexity | Offered, length not published | 29 Sep 2026 |
| AthenaHQ | Starting free | Perplexity on the free tier; 11 models on Starter | Free; $295/mo paid | No trial beyond the free tier | 28 Sep 2026 |
| Rankability | Agencies with many clients | Perplexity on its one plan; 9 or more engines | $497/mo, 12-month agreement | Not published | 29 Sep 2026 |
| Profound | Enterprise brands | Perplexity on Enterprise and agency plans, not the trial | Custom for brands | 7 days, without Perplexity | 29 Sep 2026 |
"Not published" means the vendor's pages do not say; a tool may still offer it.
Why is tracking Perplexity different?
Perplexity cites far more sources than the other engines. In our scans of questions about AI visibility tools, it averaged 20.2 third-party citations per answer in the 30 days to 22 September 2026, against 6.0 for the other six engines, as what Perplexity cites shows. The 30 days to 29 September gave the same picture: 19,965 third-party citations in 948 Perplexity answers, about 21 each.
That changes what a tracker has to measure:
- Share is spread thin. With about 20 sources per answer, no single page carries much weight, so a tracker should list every source Perplexity cites, not only whether you appear.
- Vendor sites lead. Over the 30 days to 29 September, Perplexity's most-cited sites for these questions were semrush.com (887 citations), rankability.com (569), aiclicks.io (518), llmpulse.ai (455) and tryprofound.com (366). Rankability, AIclicks and LLM Pulse were also three of the seven tools Perplexity named for "best tool to check Perplexity rankings".
- Names get misread. In the 30 days to 22 September 2026, Perplexity cited pages about Otter.ai, a transcription tool, when asked for Otterly.AI alternatives. If your name is close to another product's, check what it cites for you.
How to get cited by Perplexity covers the other side: earning a place in those source lists.
What is the difference between a mention and a citation in Perplexity?
A mention is your brand named in the answer's text. A citation is one of your pages in Perplexity's numbered source list. You can have either without the other: a roundup on someone else's site can get you named with no link to you, and your page can be cited while the answer names a rival.
The gap shows in Cituna's own data. Perplexity cited cituna.com in none of its 948 answers in the 30 days to 29 September 2026, while ChatGPT cited Cituna's Perplexity rank tracker page 23 times in that window. A good Perplexity tracker records both, per prompt. SE Ranking's free checker, for one, reports linked mentions separately from plain mentions (checked 28 September 2026). What counts as a citation in an AI answer sets out the definitions, and if ChatGPT matters as much as Perplexity, tools to track brand mentions in ChatGPT and Perplexity compares the plans that cover both.
What did Perplexity name as the best Perplexity rank tracker?
On 28 September 2026, Cituna put both questions to seven engines. Perplexity answered "best Perplexity rank tracker" with AthenaHQ, LLM Pulse, Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Profound, PromptRush and Scalenut. For "best tool to check Perplexity rankings" it named AthenaHQ, Rankability, AIclicks, Cognizo, LLM Pulse, Rankscale and Geoptie. We have not checked PromptRush, Scalenut or Cognizo against their own pages, so they are not entries.
| Tool | "best Perplexity rank tracker" | "best tool to check Perplexity rankings" | Named by Perplexity itself |
|---|---|---|---|
| Otterly.AI | 6 | 4 | Yes, first question |
| SE Ranking | 6 | 4 | No |
| LLM Pulse | 4 | 3 | Yes, both |
| Peec AI | 4 | 3 | Yes, first question |
| Profound | 4 | 3 | Yes, first question |
| AthenaHQ | 3 | 3 | Yes, both |
| Rankability | 3 | 2 | Yes, second question |
| Geoptie | 1 | 3 | Yes, second question |
| AIclicks | 2 | 2 | Yes, second question |
| Keyword.com | 3 | 0 | No |
| Rankscale | 0 | 1 | Yes, second question |
| Cituna | 0 | 0 | No |
Three answers (Gemini on both questions, AI Mode on the first) were cut off at about 4,000 characters, so these counts are a floor. The engines' own prices were mixed: Otterly.AI's $29 matched its page, while an AI Overviews answer put Profound at $499, a figure no Profound page shows.
The 12 Perplexity rank trackers, by price
1. Keyword.com (best for a few prompts on a tiny budget)
Keyword.com is a rank tracker with an AI Visibility plan at $9.80 a month, or $7.83 billed annually, for 20 credits (checked 28 September 2026). Perplexity is on that plan. A Perplexity check costs 0.25 credits, the same as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Overviews and AI Mode, while Claude costs 3 and Grok is not covered. Updates can be weekly, daily or monthly.
Say you track 20 prompts on Perplexity alone. Weekly, that uses about 20 credits a month; daily, about 150, so daily tracking needs a bigger credit tier. Search Console, GA4 and an MCP server are included, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
Strength: the lowest entry price here, and you pay only for the engines you run.
Limit: 20 credits is very small, and a Claude check costs 12 times a Perplexity one.
Pick it if: you want to watch a handful of Perplexity prompts weekly for under $10.
2. Rankscale (best for flexible cadence on a small budget)
Rankscale's Essentials plan costs $20 a month, or $204 a year, for 120 credits (checked 28 September 2026). A Perplexity run typically costs 0.25 credits, so 120 credits buy 480 Perplexity answers, about 16 prompts a day. Every engine is on every plan, including Claude at 2 credits a run, Grok and Copilot. You set the cadence: hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. MCP is on every plan, and Search Console and GA4 connect in beta.
Perplexity named Rankscale for "best tool to check Perplexity rankings", the only engine to name it on either question.
Strength: every engine and hourly-to-monthly scheduling from $20.
Limit: credits run out, and the seven-day trial covers the $99 Pro plan only.
Pick it if: you need Perplexity checked more or less often than daily, on a small budget.
3. Otterly.AI (best for daily checks with Copilot)
Otterly.AI's Lite plan costs $29 a month, or $25 billed annually, for 15 prompts (checked 28 September 2026). Perplexity is on every plan, checked daily with ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini and AI Mode are $9 a month each on Lite, Claude is $29, and Grok is not mentioned. The home page offers a seven-day trial and the sign-up banner a 14-day one, both without a card.
Six of the seven engines named Otterly.AI for "best Perplexity rank tracker", Perplexity among them.
Strength: Perplexity checked daily on the entry plan at the lowest fixed price here.
Limit: 15 prompts, and API access starts on Standard at $189.
Pick it if: a small, fixed set of Perplexity prompts is enough. Otterly.AI alternatives covers larger plans.
4. Cituna (best for Perplexity next to Claude, Grok and Search Console)
Cituna costs $39, $119 or $399 a month (checked 29 September 2026). From $39 it checks Perplexity daily with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, with Google Search Console included. It writes the fix for each gap it finds and publishes articles, and MCP is included. The trial is three days and needs a card. It does not track Microsoft Copilot.
For Perplexity, each day's answer is kept with the brands it named, your position when named and the pages it cited, so you can see whether you were mentioned, cited, or both.
Strength: Perplexity daily with Claude, Grok and both Google AI surfaces on the entry plan.
Limit: no Copilot, and a short trial that needs a card. Otterly.AI is cheaper and includes Copilot.
Pick it if: your buyers also use Claude or Grok and you want Perplexity next to Search Console data. Cituna's own Perplexity rank tracker comparison sets its plan against the other trackers.
5. Geoptie (best for choosing your own engines)
Geoptie's Starter costs $49 month to month, or $41 a month billed annually, for 15 prompts and two brands (checked 28 September 2026). Every plan tracks any 4 of 7 engines, Perplexity included, and you can swap them at any time. The seven are ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode and AI Overviews; Grok is not offered. Checks are daily across 123 markets. API and MCP start on Professional at $99. No trial is published, but its free GEO rank tracker checks Perplexity without signup.
Perplexity, Grok and AI Mode named Geoptie for "best tool to check Perplexity rankings".
Strength: engine choice is not tied to the plan tier.
Limit: 15 prompts, and a prompt tracked in three countries uses three.
Pick it if: you want Perplexity plus three engines you pick, and may change them.
6. AIclicks (best for Perplexity plus articles)
AIclicks' Starter costs $59 a month for 30 prompts on three models from a list of 11 (checked 28 September 2026). Perplexity is one of Starter's three defaults, with ChatGPT and Gemini. Checks are daily, the plan includes five AI-optimized articles a month, and the three-day trial needs no card. API, MCP and GA4 start on Pro at $189.
Perplexity named AIclicks for "best tool to check Perplexity rankings", and aiclicks.io was the third most-cited site in Perplexity's answers over the 30 days to 29 September 2026.
Strength: Perplexity included by default, with a no-card trial.
Limit: three models and 30 prompts on Starter.
Pick it if: you want Perplexity tracked and some content written for you.
7. LLM Pulse (best for five engines per prompt)
LLM Pulse's Starter costs €49 a month with weekly checks, shown as $59, or €79 with daily checks (checked 28 September 2026). Every plan includes ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, and each of the 50 prompts counts once however many engines run it. Claude, Grok and Copilot are add-ons: €25, €15 and €10 a month on weekly Starter. MCP is on every plan, and Search Console connects over MCP from Growth. The 14-day trial covers weekly plans and needs a payment method.
Perplexity named LLM Pulse on both questions, and llmpulse.ai drew 455 Perplexity citations in the 30 days to 29 September.
Strength: five engines, Perplexity included, with prompts not charged per engine.
Limit: weekly by default; daily costs €79.
Pick it if: weekly Perplexity data across five engines suits your reporting.
8. SE Visible by SE Ranking (best for most prompts per dollar)
SE Visible's Basic plan costs $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, for 200 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, refreshed daily, with a 10-day trial (checked 28 September 2026). SE Ranking customers can instead add AI Search to Core ($129) for $89 a month, which also covers Perplexity. Its page says Claude "will be added soon". The free checker runs five checks a day with Perplexity as an option.
Six engines named SE Ranking for "best Perplexity rank tracker", but Perplexity did not name it on either question.
Strength: 200 daily prompts, Perplexity included.
Limit: no Claude, Grok or Copilot today.
Pick it if: you track many Perplexity prompts and Google's AI surfaces matter too.
9. Peec AI (best for large teams with three models)
Peec AI's Starter costs $95 a month, or $80 billed annually, for 50 prompts on three models chosen from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI (checked 29 September 2026). Perplexity is not in that list: it sits among the additional models, and one extra model costs $35 a month on Starter. So Perplexity starts at $130 a month self-serve, or comes with Enterprise. Users are unlimited and checks daily.
Perplexity itself named Peec AI for "best Perplexity rank tracker", although Perplexity is an add-on on Peec's self-serve plans.
Strength: unlimited users on every plan.
Limit: Perplexity costs extra, and Claude and Grok are Enterprise only.
Pick it if: many people need access and you can pay for the add-on. Peec AI alternatives lists tools with Perplexity included.
10. AthenaHQ (best for starting free)
AthenaHQ's free Essential tier includes 300 credits, where one credit is one AI response, on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot (checked 28 September 2026). Starter costs $295 a month for 3,600 credits across 11 models, adding Claude, Grok and AI Mode. The check cadence is not published, and API access is a paid add-on.
Perplexity named AthenaHQ first on both questions, and ChatGPT, Claude and Grok named it too.
Strength: a free way to start tracking Perplexity.
Limit: 300 credits go quickly, and the next step is $295.
Pick it if: you want to try Perplexity tracking at no cost, then need every engine.
11. Rankability (best for agencies with many clients)
Rankability's pricing page shows one plan: $497 a month billed monthly on a 12-month agreement, or $4,970 a year (checked 29 September 2026). It includes 500 prompts on ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Copilot and Meta AI. Clients and users are unlimited. Search Console, GA4, an Agent API and MCP are included. Its Perplexity rank tracker page says $99 a month, cancel any time, which contradicts the pricing page. The $99 engines quoted for Rankability matches that page, not the pricing page.
rankability.com was Perplexity's second most-cited site over the 30 days to 29 September, and Perplexity named Rankability for "best tool to check Perplexity rankings".
Strength: 500 prompts on nine engines with unlimited clients.
Limit: a 12-month commitment, and two prices on its own site.
Pick it if: you are an agency and can confirm the price in writing.
12. Profound (best for enterprise brands)
Profound's brand plans are a free seven-day trial on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, without Perplexity, and a custom-priced Enterprise plan with up to nine engines, Perplexity among them (checked 29 September 2026). Agencies can buy Agency Growth at $99 a month for pitch workspaces that track ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with full client workspaces at $399 a month each. Checks are daily.
Four engines named Profound for "best Perplexity rank tracker", Perplexity among them.
Strength: Perplexity alongside Claude, Copilot and AI Mode on Enterprise, with content agents.
Limit: no self-serve brand plan, and the trial skips Perplexity.
Pick it if: you buy through sales. See Profound alternatives for self-serve plans.
