For Grok checked every day on the entry plan, next to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode and with Search Console included, the best Grok rank tracker is Cituna at $39 a month, the lowest price among the tools here that is not metered in credits and tracks Grok daily without an add-on. Rankscale ($20 in credits) costs less if you want to set the schedule yourself; Mangools ($49) checks 500 prompts on Grok weekly; AIclicks ($59) and Promptwatch ($95) let you pick Grok as one of your models; LLM Pulse adds Grok to a weekly plan for €15; Rankability includes it on agency plans from $97; and Trakkr runs every prompt on Grok daily for $100.
Only eight of the trackers we have priced across this series pass our bar for Grok. Keyword.com, Otterly.AI, Geoptie, Rankshift, SE Visible and Semrush's toolkit do not offer it at all, Peec AI keeps it for Enterprise, and AthenaHQ and xseek include it without publishing how often they check. Facts were read from each vendor's pages on 28 or 29 September 2026, and Rankability's on 16 October 2026.
Cituna asks Grok your buyers' questions every day and keeps each answer with the brands named, your position and the pages cited, next to six other engines and your Search Console data. Start tracking your brand in Grok with Cituna, from $39 a month.
Picks by need
- Grok daily with six other engines and Search Console at one flat price: Cituna, $39.
- Grok on a schedule you set, hourly to monthly: Rankscale, $20 in credits.
- Grok on 500 prompts, checked weekly: Mangools, $49.
- Grok as one of three models, with articles written for you: AIclicks, $59.
- Grok added to a weekly five-engine report: LLM Pulse, €49 plus €15.
- Grok as one of four models, with Search Console, API and MCP: Promptwatch, $95.
- Grok for many agency clients: Rankability, from $97.
- Grok on every prompt every day, with no model to give up: Trakkr, $100.
How we chose these Grok trackers
We kept a tool when its own pages showed three things: Grok by name among the engines it checks, a published price at which a brand can track Grok (included, as a chosen model, or as a priced add-on), and a published check frequency. The rest of the field is in the section after the list, each with the test it missed.
The eight are ordered by the lowest published monthly price at which Grok is tracked, counting any add-on. We used month-to-month rates where a page shows them, placed LLM Pulse's euro price by exchange rate, and broke ties alphabetically. Vendor facts were read on 28 or 29 September 2026, except Rankability's tracker pages, read on 16 October 2026. Citation figures come from Cituna's scans of seven engines in the 30 days to 22 September 2026, published in what Grok cites.
Three questions mattered most for Grok:
- Is Grok on the plan at all? It is the engine most often left out. Five of the ten tools in our Gemini comparison do not offer it.
- How often is it checked? Grok answers from live searches, so a weekly sample can miss a change.
- Does the check see X? xAI's developer documentation lists X Search as a built-in tool next to Web Search. A tracker that queries Grok through the API may or may not switch it on, and the pages we read do not say. Ask the vendor.

What makes Grok different to track
Grok has two sources the other engines lack in the same form: the open web and posts on X. xAI's documentation lists Web Search and X Search as separate built-in tools (search listing read 17 October 2026), and Rankability's Grok page describes Grok as pulling live data from both. That has a practical effect: a brand discussed on X can surface in Grok when its website does not, and the reverse. Cituna's citation files leave out the engines' own properties, so they cannot show how often Grok linked to X itself; if X matters in your market, check whether your tracker stores x.com citations.
On the web side, Grok cites few sources and picks its own. In Cituna's scans, its 552 answers in the 30 days to 22 September 2026 carried 4.5 third-party citations each, against 8.6 for the other six engines, and 30.7% of the citations to its 100 most-cited publisher sites went to sites no other engine cited. Three of its top ten, lilbigthings.com, theguidex.com and pepper.inc, appeared in no other engine's answers. A presence that wins ChatGPT or Perplexity may not reach Grok, which is why it needs its own line in a report.
What Grok does cite is mostly roundups and articles: together 97.6% of the citations to its top 100 publisher sites, with almost nothing from community sites. Its most-cited hosts overall were rankability.com (75 citations), menra.ai (67), cognizo.ai (59), xseek.io (54) and ayzeo.com (52). How to get cited by Grok covers how to get onto those lists.
The 8 Grok rank trackers, by price
1. Rankscale (best for Grok on your own schedule)
Rankscale's Essentials plan costs $20 a month, or $204 a year, for 120 credits, and Grok is on it with every other engine Rankscale supports, Claude and Copilot included (read 28 September 2026). You set the cadence per project, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly, which suits an engine whose answers shift with live news. MCP is on every plan, and Search Console and GA4 connect in beta.
Where it falls short: our read did not establish how many credits a Grok run costs, so the number of Grok checks 120 credits buy is unknown, and the seven-day trial covers only the $99 Pro plan.
2. Cituna (best for Grok with six other engines and Search Console)
Cituna costs $39, $119 or $399 a month, and every plan checks Grok daily with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, with Google Search Console built in (read 29 September 2026). Grok runs on the same prompts as the other six at no extra cost. For each Grok answer it keeps the brands named, your position and the pages cited.
Because Grok sends almost a third of its publisher citations to sites the other engines ignore, the useful view is per engine: which roundups Grok used for a prompt you lost, next to the ones ChatGPT and Perplexity used. Cituna then writes the fix for each gap and can publish the article; its API and MCP are read-only below the $119 Pro plan.
Where it falls short: no Microsoft Copilot, and the three-day trial needs a card.
Track Grok with six other engines and Search Console in Cituna, from $39 a month.
3. Mangools AI Search Watcher (best for many Grok prompts, checked weekly)
Mangools' AI Search Watcher Pro costs $49 a month, or $34.90 a month billed annually, for 500 prompts (read 29 September 2026). Grok is one of eight engines its FAQ names, with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Mistral and Llama. Updates are weekly on every plan, and each one runs every prompt twice, which softens the swings of a live-search engine a little. API and MCP access come on every plan, and a free plan covers 5 prompts without a card, though the page we read did not say which engines it runs.
Where it falls short: weekly data only, which misses much of Grok's movement, no Perplexity or Copilot, and Search Console is not published.
4. AIclicks (best for Grok plus articles)
AIclicks' Starter costs $59 a month for 30 prompts on three models (read 28 September 2026). The defaults are ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and Grok is one of 11 models you can swap in. Checks are daily, five AI-optimised articles a month come with the plan, and the three-day trial needs no card.
Where it falls short: adding Grok costs you one of the three defaults, and API, MCP and GA4 start on Pro at $189.
5. LLM Pulse (best for adding Grok to weekly reports)
LLM Pulse's Starter costs €49 a month with weekly checks, shown as $59, or €79 with daily checks (read 28 September 2026). Its base set is ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode; Grok is a €15 monthly add-on on weekly Starter, so weekly Grok tracking costs €64. Each of the 50 prompts counts once across every engine. The 14-day trial on weekly plans needs a payment method.
Where it falls short: the Grok add-on price we read is for weekly Starter, and a weekly sample misses much of the movement in an engine that answers from live search.
6. Promptwatch (best for Grok with Search Console, API and MCP)
Promptwatch's Essential costs $95 a month, or $950 a year, for 50 prompts checked daily on four models (read 28 September 2026). Grok is one of the 11 in its supported-models table, along with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, AI Overviews and AI Mode. Every brand plan includes Google Search Console, and API and MCP access come with Essential, so Grok results can flow into your own reports. The 7-day trial covers Essential and Professional; card terms are not published.
Where it falls short: Grok takes one of four model slots, the page does not say how the four are chosen, Copilot is not listed, and Essential has one seat.
7. Rankability (best for agencies tracking Grok)
Rankability's tracker pages, read on 16 October 2026, list Starter at $97 a month with 100 tracked AI queries, Agency at $297 with 300 and Agency Pro at $497 with 500, each with 11 AI platforms, unlimited client workspaces and API and MCP access. Its Grok page describes daily, weekly or custom scans that record mentions, citations, your position, competing brands and a snippet of Grok's answer. rankability.com was the host Grok cited most in our scans, with 75 citations in the 30 days to 22 September 2026.
Where it falls short: on 29 September 2026 its pricing page showed a single plan at $497 a month on a 12-month agreement, so confirm the current terms in writing.
8. Trakkr (best for Grok on every prompt, daily)
Trakkr's Growth plan costs $100 a month, or $1,000 a year, and Grok is one of eight models on every plan, with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, DeepSeek and Meta AI (read 28 September 2026). Growth tracks one brand daily on 50 prompts, and each prompt runs on all eight models, so Grok never competes with another engine for a slot. It includes 25 articles a month, three seats and MCP; the REST API starts on Scale at $500.
Where it falls short: no Google AI Mode or Copilot, Search Console only through a guide that uses exports, and the 14-day trial needs a card.

Other tools and Grok
These were checked on 28 or 29 September 2026 unless stated. AthenaHQ's Starter, $295 a month for 3,600 credits across 11 models, includes Grok, but no check frequency is published. xseek's Starter, $249.99 a month, tracks Grok among eight engines, but check frequency is not published either. Peec AI offers Grok only on Enterprise. Profound's Enterprise plan covers up to nine engines, and the pages we read did not confirm Grok among them. Keyword.com, Otterly.AI, Geoptie, Rankshift, SE Visible and Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit do not offer Grok. ProRankTracker's Grok tracker address showed its general AI rank tracker page when read on 16 October 2026; that page lists Grok among seven AI platforms and says checks run daily, but it counts each prompt, URL and platform as 2 Terms of a plan's quota and does not show a plan price, so it missed our price test. xSeek, Dageno and other names in the lists that rank for this search were not checked against their own pages for this note.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Grok rank tracker?

Does Grok use X posts in its answers?

Can I track Grok rankings for free?
By hand: ask Grok your buyers' questions, open its sources and log whether you are named, then repeat on other days. None of the eight trackers here publishes a free Grok plan. Mangools has a free plan for 5 prompts, but the page we read did not say whether Grok is on it, and AIclicks' three-day trial needs no card.
