Otterly.AI is cheaper to start: its Lite plan costs $29 a month against $39 for Cituna's Starter. For the extra $10, Cituna includes all seven engines it tracks, Grok, Claude and Gemini among them, plus Google Search Console, while Otterly.AI's Lite covers four engines and sells Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini as add-ons.
So the better buy depends on the engines you need. On price, and on reaching API access at a lower tier, Otterly.AI wins. On engines included at entry and on Search Console, Cituna does.
VisibilityOS is published by the team that builds Cituna. The figures below come from the two vendors' own pricing pages, read on 23 September 2026, and the page says plainly where Otterly.AI comes out ahead.

What $39 and $29 buy
Cituna's $39 covers the seven engines it lists, with no add-ons. Otterly.AI's $29 covers four; adding Google AI Mode ($9), Gemini ($9) and Claude ($29) brings Lite to $76 a month for the seven engines Otterly.AI offers.
Six engines are on both lists: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. The seventh differs. Cituna tracks Grok, and Otterly.AI tracks Microsoft Copilot.
If your must-haves are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, the two land a dollar apart. Otterly.AI Lite plus the AI Mode add-on is $38 a month and also covers Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Cituna is $39 and also covers Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok and Search Console.
What else each plan lists
Otterly.AI's Lite lists more than tracking: an AI prompt research tool, a Brand Visibility Index, domain ranking, link citation analysis, a generative engine optimization audit with 1,000 GEO audits a month, multi-country support (50+), ChatGPT Ads tracking and three recommendations a week. Standard raises recommendations to unlimited and workspaces from one to unlimited.
Every Cituna plan lists "Gaps ranked by impact & effort", "Every fix written for you", "Publish to every major CMS" and "50+ languages".
Prompt allowances matter as much as engines. Otterly.AI's Lite includes 15 search prompts, Standard ($189 a month, or $160 billed annually) includes 100, and Premium ($489, or $422 billed annually) includes 400. Lite cannot buy extra prompt packs; on Standard and Premium, 100 more prompts cost $99 a month. Before choosing either tool, it helps to know how to choose the prompts to track.
Who Otterly.AI fits
Otterly.AI fits a solo marketer or small team that wants the lowest bill, or that needs Microsoft Copilot; it labels Lite "For solo marketers, and small teams". Lite includes 15 search prompts, unlimited team members, daily tracking, unlimited brand reports and "Detailed Reports & Export".
It also reaches API and MCP access sooner. Both come with Standard at $189 a month, along with 100 prompts and a Google Looker Studio connector, where Cituna includes API and MCP reads from $39 and write actions from $119. Otterly.AI's features page says its MCP server exposes brand reports, prompts, citations, recommendations and audit checks to your assistant.
Where it falls short of Cituna: no Grok, no published Search Console integration, and Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode cost extra on Lite, Standard and Premium, with the add-on prices rising on higher tiers (Claude is $109 a month on Standard).
Who Cituna fits
Cituna fits a team that wants seven major engines from its first paid plan, Grok and Claude included, and wants Google Search Console in the same tool. Starter checks all seven engines daily for $39, which makes it the cheapest plan with seven engines and Search Console in our ranking of 13 tools by entry price.
Where it falls short of Otterly.AI: it costs $10 more at entry, it does not list Microsoft Copilot, its API and MCP are read-only below the $119 Pro plan, and its three-day trial needs a card.
