Cituna publishes a price and Profound does not. Cituna's Starter plan costs $39 a month and checks seven engines daily, Grok and Claude included, with Google Search Console on every plan; Profound's only paid plan, Enterprise, is listed as "Custom" and names up to nine engines, with an API included.
So the choice turns on what you need. On a published price, Grok and Search Console, Cituna comes out ahead. On the number of engines at the top tier, an API on the first paid plan and published security terms, Profound does.
VisibilityOS is published by the team that builds Cituna. Every figure below comes from the two vendors' own pricing pages, read on 23 September 2026, and the page says plainly where Profound wins.

How the engine lists compare
Six engines appear on both lists: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Cituna adds Grok. Profound adds Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa Search, which makes its Enterprise list the longer of the two, nine against seven.
The difference is where those engines sit. Cituna's seven are on every plan, starting at $39. Profound's nine are on Enterprise, at a price you learn from sales; its free trial covers three engines, and Claude and Google AI Mode are not among them.
What else each plan lists
Beyond tracking, the two pricing pages list different extras. Every Cituna plan lists "Gaps ranked by impact & effort", "Every fix written for you", "Publish to every major CMS" and "50+ languages".
Profound's Enterprise plan lists AI Marketer credits for the whole team, reusable Agents for recurring marketing work, a Context Manager for brand knowledge, unlimited Opportunities that AI Marketer flags, Profound Sheets for running Agents at scale, Prompt Volumes and ChatGPT Shopping. It also lists Agent Analytics, which tracks AI-sourced traffic across unlimited domains and connects to Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, Netlify, Vercel and WordPress.
On languages, Cituna lists 50+ on every plan. Profound's trial covers one language and one region, and Enterprise lists both as custom.
Who Cituna fits
Cituna fits a team that wants seven major answer engines from its first paid plan, Grok and Claude included, without a sales call or an enterprise budget. The $39 Starter plan checks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode daily, and Google Search Console integration comes with every plan. If you have not used Search Console for this before, start with how to use Google Search Console for AI search.
The published price is the other half of the case. A team can compare Cituna's $39 against its budget before talking to anyone, and start a three-day trial on its own.
Where it falls short of Profound: seven engines against nine at the top tier, with no Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek or Exa Search. Its API and MCP are read-only on the first paid plan, with write actions from Pro at $119. The trial is shorter, three days, and needs a card.
Who Profound fits
Profound fits a larger company that buys through sales and needs breadth, an API and security paperwork. It describes Enterprise as "For companies operationalizing AI Search insights and running marketing agents at scale". The plan names up to nine engines and includes an API, CSV and JSON exports, all-time history, unlimited seats, SSO/SAML and SOC 2 compliance. Support options include email, a dedicated Slack channel and a dedicated specialist with a 24-hour SLA. Its pricing page also leads with AI Marketer, which runs on credits.
Where it falls short of Cituna: no published price, so you cannot compare cost before a demo. No engine list on the page includes Grok, and the page does not mention Search Console or MCP. The free trial is a fair first look, 50 prompts daily for seven days, but it covers three engines with no exports or history.
Verdict by situation
- You need a price before a sales call: Cituna, $39 a month. Profound does not publish one.
- You need Grok: Cituna. Profound does not list it. Tracking pairs with work on the engine itself: see how to get cited by Grok.

- You need Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek or Exa Search: Profound Enterprise. Cituna does not list them.
- You need an API on your first paid plan: either. Cituna's $39 Starter includes API and MCP reads, with write actions from $119; Profound's only paid plan, Enterprise, includes an API at a custom price.
- You need SSO or SOC 2 in the contract: Profound publishes both for Enterprise.
- You work in several languages: Cituna lists 50+ languages on every plan. Profound's trial covers one, and Enterprise is custom.
- You want AI-sourced traffic data from your CDN or analytics: Profound's Agent Analytics lists integrations with Cloudflare, Fastly, Vercel, Google Analytics and others.
- You want the longest free look before paying: Profound, seven days on three engines. Cituna's trial lasts three days and needs a card.

Correction
23 September 2026: an earlier version said Cituna's API and MCP start on the $399 Max plan. They are included from the $39 Starter plan for reading, with write actions from Pro at $119, per Cituna's developer and MCP pages.
