SE Ranking AI Visibility Tracker Review 2026: Is It Worth It?

SE Ranking's AI tracker reviewed from its own pages (16 Oct 2026): five engines, prompts per plan, pricing, gaps, and where Cituna's seven engines fit.

SE Ranking's AI visibility tracker is worth buying if you want a large prompt set checked every day on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode: SE Visible Basic checks 200 prompts on all five for $99 a month, and SE Ranking's Core SEO plan carries 100 daily prompts for $129 with rank tracking, audits, MCP and Search Console in the same bill. It is the wrong buy if Claude, Grok or Microsoft Copilot answer your buyers' questions, because none of the three is tracked today. If Claude or Grok answer your buyers' questions, Cituna checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode daily from $39 a month, with Search Console on every plan, though on fewer prompts; for Copilot, Otterly.AI covers it from $29 (read 28 September 2026).

Every price and limit below comes from SE Ranking's own pages, read on 16 October 2026, unless a different date is given.

If you want to see what the two engines SE Ranking skips say about your brand before you choose, Cituna checks seven AI engines for your prompts every day and writes the fix for each gap, from $39 a month.

The verdict in five lines

  • Buy SE Visible for volume: 200, 450 or 1,000 prompts a day on five engines, with unlimited users.
  • Buy SE Ranking Core if you also need classic rank tracking: 100 AI prompts are included at $129.
  • Skip both if you need Claude, Grok or Copilot; Claude is listed as coming soon. Eight alternatives that cover them are compared in our replacement note.
  • Expect suite-level reporting, not a content workflow: it reports mentions, links, positions and sources; it does not write the fix.
  • Read the plan, not the product name: SE Ranking sells this tracker three ways, and Search Console and MCP sit on the suite side.

How we reviewed it

This is a review from SE Ranking's published pages, not from a paid account. We read the SE Visible plans page, SE Ranking's subscription page and its AI visibility tracker page on 16 October 2026, and its AI Overviews tracker page on 29 September 2026. We compared those facts with the reads behind our earlier notes, dated 22 to 29 September 2026, and where they disagree, the newer read wins and the conflict is named. How often AI engines name SE Ranking comes from Cituna's scans of seven engines on 28 and 29 September 2026.

We judged it on six questions a buyer asks: which engines it covers, how many prompts each plan allows, how often it checks, what each answer record holds, what it costs on each route, and what it does not do.

What SE Ranking's AI tracker is

SE Ranking began as an SEO platform, and its AI tracking grew out of that. Today there are three ways to pay for it, and they do not include the same things.

  • SE Visible, the standalone product. It has its own login and plans, aimed at brand and marketing teams that do not need an SEO suite.
  • AI tracking inside SE Ranking's SEO plans. Core and Growth list daily AI prompts, AI source tracking and AI competitor research next to rank tracking and audits.
  • The AI Search add-on. Bought on top of a suite plan, it adds the AI Results Tracker and access to the SE Visible dashboard.

The per-engine views (the AI Overviews tracker, the AI Mode tracker and the cross-engine tracker) are what you see in either case. SE Ranking's AI Overviews tracker records day-by-day position changes and keeps cached copies of the results page, so you can check how an AI Overview looked on a past date (read 29 September 2026).

Which engines does it track?

Five: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Every SE Visible plan covers all five, and the suite's Core and Growth plans list five LLMs as well. SE Visible's page says Claude "will be added soon". Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek are not mentioned on any of the pages we read.

The add-on is narrower than its name suggests. Its own line lists the AI Results Tracker for AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT, four engines; Gemini comes through the SE Visible dashboard access that the add-on includes.

For a brand whose buyers sit in Google's surfaces and ChatGPT, that coverage is enough. It matters more if your audience works in Microsoft 365, where Copilot is the default assistant, or if Claude names your rivals and you cannot see it.

How many prompts do you get, and what do they cost?

A prompt counts once however many engines run it. SE Visible says Basic analyses about 30,000 AI answers a month, which is 200 prompts times five engines times 30 days, so you are not charged per engine. Core's 450 prompts come to about 67,500 answers and Plus's 1,000 to about 150,000.

At $99 for 200 prompts, SE Visible costs about 50 cents per prompt per month. On the plans we compared in September, entry tiers ran from 10 to 50 prompts, from Cituna's $39 Starter to Peec AI's $95 Starter; our cheapest AI visibility tools note lists them all.

In our read of 22 September, SE Ranking's AI prompts were listed behind the $89 add-on; by 28 September, Core listed 100 daily prompts itself. If you compare older reviews, check which version of the page they read. Third-party reviews in a web search on 16 October also quoted plans and engine lists that no longer match SE Ranking's own pages, including a claim that SE Visible tracked only ChatGPT and AI Mode.

How often does it check, and what does each check record?

SE Visible states that results are refreshed daily. The AI visibility tracker page did not state a cadence of its own, but the suite plans count prompts per day.

For each answer, SE Ranking says it records:

  • Linked and unlinked mentions. Whether your brand was named, and whether the name carried a link. This matters because engines often name a tool without citing its site.
  • Position in the answer. Where you appear among the brands named.
  • Cited domains and URLs, with sources sorted into types such as media, blogs and forums.
  • Competitor visibility, compared with yours.
  • History and cached answers, so you can see how the framing of your brand changed.

It supports seven markets in five languages for this analysis. SE Visible also lists sentiment and competitor analysis. On its coming-soon list are query fan-out analysis and local AI visibility.

The free AI visibility checker on the same page gives five checks a day without an account, enough to see whether the report format suits you.

What it does not do

  • No Claude, Grok or Copilot. Claude is promised; the other two are not mentioned.
  • No fix. The tracker shows where you are missing and which sources the engines read. It does not draft the page or pitch that would change the answer.
  • Split features between products. MCP access, API credits (25,000 a month on Core, 100,000 on Growth) and Google Analytics and Search Console integrations are listed for the suite plans. SE Visible's page mentions an API that covers everything except users and billing, but not MCP or Search Console.
  • No agency packaging on SE Visible. Its page says the white-label Agency Pack does not apply to SE Visible.
  • Fewer markets than some rivals. Seven markets is enough for most single-country brands but narrow next to Geoptie's 123, which we noted in September.

Do AI engines recommend SE Ranking?

Often. On 28 September 2026, Cituna put "best Perplexity rank tracker" to seven engines and six named SE Ranking, tied with Otterly.AI for the most. For "best tool to check Perplexity rankings", four did. Perplexity itself named it on neither question. On 29 September, Gemini and Google AI Mode named SE Ranking for "tool to track brand mentions across ChatGPT and Perplexity", and ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Grok did not. Our Perplexity rank tracker comparison has the full table.

That spread is itself a reason to track per engine: a brand that Google's AI names can be absent from the assistant your buyers actually use.

Who it suits, and who it does not

  • SEO teams already on SE Ranking. Core's 100 daily prompts mean AI tracking comes with the plan you pay for. Add the $89 add-on only if you need the extra 200 SE Visible prompts.
  • Brands with many products, markets or personas. SE Visible's 200 to 1,000 prompts let you track broad prompt sets daily without paying per engine.
  • Teams focused on Google's AI surfaces, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Those four engines, plus Gemini, are the five it tracks.

It suits less well:

  • Brands whose buyers use Claude, Grok or Copilot. You will not see those answers.
  • Small teams that need the fix as much as the data. SE Ranking reports; you write.
  • Agencies wanting white-label AI reports. Not on SE Visible today.

If SE Ranking is not the fit

  • Claude and Grok next to SE Ranking's five engines, with Search Console, from $39: Cituna, on 10 prompts at entry; Pro is $119 for 30 prompts and three brands (read 29 September 2026). It keeps each day's answer with the brands named and the pages cited, and writes the fix for each gap. See Cituna's plans.
  • Copilot with a fixed small plan: Otterly.AI, $29 for 15 prompts (read 28 September 2026).
  • Another SEO suite with AI prompts built in: Ahrefs Brand Radar or Semrush; Semrush vs Ahrefs for AI visibility compares the two.

Our SE Ranking AI tracker alternatives note ranks eight replacements with their limits.
